Brooks’ Cascadia 16 Womens Running Shoes pack in a lot of features that are great for off-road running. The shoes have a new DNA LOFT v2 midsole which is lighter and softer than before and includes drainage ports to allow any water to quickly escape whilst the midsole and outsole construction allows the shoes to better mould to the terrain for improved stability. TrailTack rubber on the outsole grips in all conditions, with the widely spaced lugs clearing any mud quickly.

There is a Ballistic Rock Shield plate in the forefoot that prevents small rocks or roots from causing discomfort underfoot and a gusset on the tongue that prevents grit and pebbles from getting into the shoe. This can be further improved by making use of the tab on the heel to fit a gaiter (sold separately).
